So here is my favourite type of 'comfy' outfit: a sweater over a dress! I don't know why I don't see that many people around wearing that combination, I think its so comfortable and so cute! And brogues go with anything. Well almost everything. Honestly, if you're not sure what would go with your outfit, throw on a pair of brogues.

Black Velvet and Brown Brogues

Most of today was spent opshopping, yay! I love opshopping, but it really makes my arms sore... Imagine carrying a huge load of finds in your arms, while trying to browse a rack for even more finds (can't risk putting anything down or someone else'll snag it!)
I got some pretty sweet stuff today, can't wait to do the necessary alterations and start wearing them!

Inspired by Adela

Here is an outfit inspired by the gorgeous Adela (Judy Davis) from the '80s move 'A Passage to India'. Adela, in this movie, often wears white button-up collared blouses with brooches at the neck, and some pretty fantastic hats! I love the 'explorer's hats' that the characters from the movie wear (it was set in India under colonial rule). I had the opportunity to buy a stunning vintage one recently (it was quite old and worn, but beautiful!), but the friend I was with gave me a nasty look for even considering it (we have very different tastes).
Now I find myself regretting not buying it.
Note to self: if I ever fall in love with a piece, make sure to acquire it, regardless of anyone's opinions!

I am craving creepers.

Well, brothel creepers seem to be creeping everywhere on the internet. I feel that I must give in... I would really love some creepers! It would be an absolute dream if I walked into a thrift store and there was a perfect pair waiting for me...
Personally, I'm not a fan of creepers with leopard print on them, I'd rather have a creeper-brogue anyday!
